The journey of Tony Lécuroux MS — Master Sommelier
Tony Lécuroux is a Master Sommelier and 2nd Best Sommelier of Switzerland 2025. The Master Sommelier title, awarded by the Court of Master Sommeliers, is one of the rarest distinctions in the world, held by only around 300 professionals. Through Paroles de Vins, his private wine advisory based in Switzerland, he guides private clients, collectors and enthusiasts in building, refining and bringing their cellars to life.
The Roots — Rhône Valley. Tony was born at the foot of the hill of Hermitage, between Tain-l'Hermitage and the steep slopes of one of the most mythical terroirs in the world. He grew up surrounded by vines and passionate winemakers, where his bond with wine and terroir formed long before words.
The Revelation — Tain-l'Hermitage, 2015. At sommelier school, in that same valley, his vocation took shape. Wine became a language, a story to tell, a craft.
The Opening — England, 3 years. To perfect his English, Tony moved to England, where he discovered a more open and competitive wine world. He entered his first sommelier competitions and sat his first exams while working on the floor.
The Ground — France, 250 estates. The COVID period brought him back to France, where he visited over 250 estates in three months. This immersion gave his understanding of terroir a concrete, human dimension, close to the winemakers themselves.
The Freedom — Njørden, Switzerland, 2021. In Switzerland, at Njørden, he worked for over three years with great creative freedom, exploring not only wine but also coffee, tea and spirits, and shaping his own vision of the tasting experience.
The Consecration — 2025. A decade of work, blind tastings and exams converged: Tony earned the title of 2nd Best Sommelier of Switzerland and passed the Master Sommelier examination.
The Mission — Paroles de Vins. Tony founded Paroles de Vins to share his expertise far beyond fine dining rooms: private wine advisory, cellar curation and management, rare bottle sourcing, curated experiences and wine travel. A modern, independent and discreet approach, in service of each client's palate — whether collector, professional or curious newcomer.
