🍇 North vs South

🍷 Syrah vs Grenache

⛰️ Steep slopes vs flatter lands

💎 Granite vs waterstone pebbles

🔹 Northern Rhône

• Syrah-dominant: Think iconic Hermitage, St-Joseph & Côte-Rôtie

• Steep, dramatic slopes + the persistent Mistral winds = tiny, concentrated yields

• Flavors: dark blackberries, signature pepper spice, firm tannins, and fresh, bright acidity

🔸 Southern Rhône

Flat land of Chateauneuf-du-Pape

• Grenache Noir blends rule the day

• Shallow, glacial-origin plains with rich clay soils, blanketed by pebbles → trap daytime warmth & release it at night

• Flavors: rounded, lush fruit, ripe body, and those savory herbal notes

• Famous appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape & Gigondas (beneath the Dentelles de Montmirail) 🍃🏆

As a passionate sommelier and wine consultant, I'm embarking on an extraordinary journey across Europe (and possibly the Southern Hemisphere) to discover hidden gems, meet legendary winemakers, and uncover the stories behind exceptional wines.
This isn't just travel—it's wine education in its purest form. Every vineyard visit, every conversation with a vigneron, every tasting note I create becomes content that elevates the entire wine community.
